These needs shaped much of the discussion at IBC2025, where Intinor showcased new developments designed to make contribution and distribution more reliable, scalable, and efficient. From enhanced management tools to stronger redundancy handling, our focus has been on practical solutions that help users meet the everyday demands of live production and streaming.
Resilience and Scalability in Focus
Streaming has matured into a complex ecosystem where profitability, scalability, and quality are under constant pressure. In a recent industry roundtable, Daniel Lundstedt, Head of Sales and Marketing at Intinor, highlighted how resilient transport protocols and direct routing are becoming game-changers. With these approaches, contribution feeds can be moved reliably over the open internet without excessive costs or loss of quality, making it possible to scale major events without the logistical complexity that once held operators back.
Adding to this conversation, Roland Axelsson, Senior Technical Account Manager and founder of Intinor, gave a presentation at IBC on redundancy over public internet using open standards RTP over SRT and SMPTE 2022-7. The session highlighted Intinor’s latest advancements in redundancy solutions, showing how real-world challenges can be tackled with practical applications. Because what happens when a feed goes down mid-broadcast? Viewers aren’t concerned with the technicalities, they just see the screen go black. That’s why resilience isn’t an option, it’s a necessity.
Showcasing What’s New
Among the highlights on our stand were the latest developments in the Direkt series:
- Intinor Direkt Management (IDM) – a redesigned interface for managing all Direkt units, with mobile access, custom configuration, and visual workflow control, now including built-in SDI input/output configuration.
- 10-bit encoding/decoding – delivering improved color fidelity and dynamic range for professional contribution and remote production.
- SMPTE 302M (Dolby E) passthrough – transparent handling of multi-channel professional audio over SDI outputs.
- Improved SRT functionality – including bandwidth overhead configuration, client limits per port, multiple listener-ports per source, and expanded statistics.
- Redundancy with RTP over SRT and ST 2022-7 – further enhancing stability with added functionality on IP stream input and multicast.
Each of these developments reflects our commitment to solutions that simplify operations while keeping performance high. After all, the last thing a production team wants is to spend more time configuring the tools than creating the content.
Interoperability in Practice
